Every time you restart your Mac, SndControl installs code in system memory to patch several Toolbox calls. This allows SndControl to "know" when a certain event has occurred and to play the sound of your choice.
The Control Panel interface allows you to make changes to the various settings, such as which sound should be played when the Trash Can is emptied, whether it should be picked at random from a sound suitcase containing several sounds, what volume it should play at, etcetera.
The choices you make are saved in a file called "SndControl Prefs", stored in the Preferences folder within your System Folder. This file is automatically created by SndControl and will reappear (if you trash it or rename it) the next time you use the SndControl cdev.
